Rain Policy
At Clinch River Life, our goal is to operate our river floating business on scheduled days. However, when bad weather is forecasted, we prioritize our customers' safety and may need to cancel groups first thing in the morning. This early decision aims to give our customers ample time to make alternative plans.
We understand that weather predictions can change rapidly, and sometimes we might cancel on a day that turns out to be pleasant, or we may miss a sudden storm. These situations can be stressful and dangerous, leading us to err on the side of caution. We sincerely apologize if your group is canceled. While we never want to cancel, it is necessary when Mother Nature doesn't cooperate.

This allows us to staff properly, have enough tubes ready and gives us the ability to get ahold of people if the weather is bad or if the river is too high, saving you the drive here.

Water Activity Pricing as follows:

- Tubing for Ages 10 and under $10. Includes shuttle service, tube and life vest.
- Group rate $15. Group rates apply to adults in groups of 6 or more. Shuttle service, tube and life vest included
- Inflatable Kayak for ages 11 and up, $30 (Only Six Kayaks are available so reservations are required)
- Inflatable Kayak for ages 10 and under and under, $20 (Only Six Kayaks are available so reservations are required)

Everyone floats at their on risk. We require everyone to take a life vest. Kids must wear vests at all times.

We will have a limited number of camping spots.. Spots will have picnic table and a fire ring with grill grates. There is no water or sewer. Porta John is on site.

Location
We are located at 15264 US-23 N, Duffield, VA. directly across from the Copper Creek bridge. Coming from Kingsport it is mile marker 15. At the end of the wayside exhibit for viewing the bridge, there is a driveway that drops off to the right. Go down the driveway and straight up the field. We are only 10 minutes from Natural Tunnel State Park.
General Information
We schedule shuttle departures every 15 minutes. Floats take between 90 Minutes to 3 hours depending on the water levels and wind. Please arrive early and be ready to depart at your scheduled time. We will do our best to stay on time. We shuttle you up the river approximately 2 miles and you float back to the parking/staging area.

We have picnic tables and park style grills. Pack some food for a picnic and stay a while.
Sunscreen and shoes other than flip flops are strongly recommended.
Coolers are allowed, we recommend soft sided coolers. No Glass. No Littering. We will do our best to allow an extra float for coolers. We have a few round cooler floats that you pour your ice and drink into for rent.
We have a Portable Potty and changing tent on site.
